The last few days have been exciting and frustrating. But right now with my new passport in hand I feel nearly invincible, I mean scared. That means that, potentially any day now I could be living in a country that does not speak english. Really, it’s worse than you think, everyone in Spain speaks with a lisp.
I guess way back in the day, Spain had a king. This king had a lisp and he couldn’t deal with it by getting a speech therapist. Nooooo…… He went and started cutting peoples heads off if they didn’t talk with a lisp. So, everyone learned the lisp and it lives on to this day. Don’t take this story as fact(I haven’t done any research).
Anyway to share with you what’s been in my mail:
- 2 copies of Modern Spanish for my Grandma (It’s a really hard book to find these days, it’s been out of print since ‘77)
- My new VOIP phone from Ipevo, I can call to 20 different countries from my computer for 2cents/minute
- My Passport, it came a lot more timely than I thought that it would
- I recieved confirmation that my copy of Final Cut Studio is on it’s way, don’t let the price tag scare you, I scored it for $200, which is a steal of a deal for a legitimate copy
- I have recieved tons of great feedback from my last update and I am very thankful for the encouraging notes (I don’t expect that this one will get same recognition)
Anyway, I have yet share my frustrations with you, so if your still reading, my biggest frustration this week has been trying to hack together a web software package. I know, your totally relate, but I was trying to create a functional web photo gallery with really mixed responses, but after 26 hours of programming it worked perfect in a testing environment for two and a half minutes. Needless to say I took the cowards way out and dropped it for now. However I do feel like less of man for it.
Thank you for your time.
