Jan. 14th Weekly Recap

January 16th, 2007 · 4 Comments

It’s really late. I know. I feel terrible or maybe I don’t. I love schedule and I feel like I owe it to my readers to be on schedule, but things have felt so hectic here as of late that I really didn’t feel like posting anything but in then I guess I couldn’t not. There were really only two things this week but they were both really stressful.

Asdika.org

This website is still on the list, and it will be for quite some time. I don’t meant that to sound like it will never finish but websites take time and while I feel like I made some real strides on the design there are still a lot steps between a design and a fully functioning site.

Home Report

On Thursday night I realized that I was supposed to be speaking in my home church this last weekend and that I hadn’t really prepared what was going to be said or how things were going to happen. Based on some of the early tests that me and a friend from back home did it wasn’t certain that a webchat was going to work so I began scripting a video that I would do. Then on Friday morning I built a simple set, during lunch I filmed for about two hours. Then I did some capturing of tape to computer while I ate. Later I came back to do a first rough cut that I was really impressed with. Then Saturday morning I got up early to help paint my church here in Spain followed by roughly another 4 hours of editing and then it (the video) was done.On Sunday morning my home Church in Canada was going to show the video and then I was actually going to come online to do a bit of an interview and everything went well. It was just really time consuming. Anyway here is a link to the video my Church played: Jamie’s Missions Video Jan-2007 (33mb)

Very well put together Jamie. Sorry we didn’t get to see you live in Church, I would’ve loved that but I’m glad it all went well.

[...] few things worth noting about the video is that firstly, it assumes that you’ve seen the first part (Quicktime 7 is required) and secondly, I had intended to upload both sides of the interview, as in [...]
