This week was a really short one. Here’s the play by play.

Monday (Jan.29th)

This day was mostly spent recovering from a night spent in London Gatwick airport following a long week of work related travels. All I really could bring myself to do was sleep and laundry.

Tuesday

I got up late for Spanish class but seeing as the class is just me and the profesora I felt obliged to go. I gave her the news that I hadn’t done a lick of homework in the last two weeks and that I was late, she took it pretty well at first until the class began, then I was accused of being dyslexic. I spent the rest of the day a little pajaro en la cabeza, there was a lot that I needed to do and while I was able to start some things, I really finished nothing. For the evening I went to my church for the weekly prayer meeting, where I found out that the next night was my friend Ebers wedding rehearsal and the night after was his bachelor party, or Despida de Soltero.

Wednesday

It had been well over a month since the last time I went to the supermarket and that morning when I got up and used the very last square of toilet paper I decided it was definitely time to get some supplies. So when I got into work that morning and a coworker mentioned she was going to the supermarket that morning and wanted to know if anyone else wanted to come, I took it as a sign from God. It took most of the morning to get everything that I was lacking and even then I forgot the dish soap. In the evening I went to a wedding rehearsal.

Thursday

The morning was spent getting really angry with Apple OSXs Automator. I had written a short script that would take an email I had written and a list of names from my address book and add a personalized salutation for every name and send them an email, but it never worked, I kept getting “Event Timed Out -1712″ errors, I gave up and personally addressed an email to every one of the 64 people that are on my email update list. If you came to this page as a result of an email you received, please know that while the message was a little generic I did write you name and email address.

In the evening I went to my first ever spanish bachelor party, it was the best time I’ve ever had in a McDonaldsâ„¢. It was a great time with people hailing from Canada, the United States, Brazil, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Friday

The morning started off with class again, I overslept again. Losing my watch and my cell phone, my only two clocks, have not helped me be punctual the last two weeks. The class went well and when it was done I actually sat down to do some work on the website I have been working on these last few weeks. I opened the file and I was actually impressed with what I had already accomplished, it had been so long that it was almost like opening someone else’s work and being pleasantly surprised.

I went downtown for the afternoon to get some clothes for the wedding (I didn’t have anything even remotely dressy). As luck would have it, all the big sales were still on. I was able to get two pairs of pants, a belt and dress shoes for 40 Euros at the one store. I also picked up a new cell phone, it has radio, I’m loving it.
