What shall I say about this week? It’s been an exceptionally normal one which means not an exceptionally productive one.

I am doing a test drive of Apple’s Photo software, Aperture. I took over three hundred RAW format and using Aperture in my spare time I very quickly had the majority of them sorted and edited (I am still waiting to retrieve 100 photos from the churches computer where I made an emergency dump to free up space on camera’s memory). Maybe I need to consider purchasing it.

For nearly a whole day my computer was busy turning 100 Quicktime 7 videos into 100 Quicktime 6 videos and 100 Windows Media Player videos. I was very impressed with the performance of my PowerMac G5, it took less then fifteen minutes to turn one fifteen minute video into two different fifteen minute videos.

The new design is so near completion I can taste it. Here’s what I’ve got planned:

I am still just a little unsure of the alignment of a few things and the color choices that I’ve made. Hopefully those are resolved later today and I can get into the code.

Maybe you know, but probably you don’t, I have plane tickets for February 26th to return to Canada, but I won’t be on that flight.
I was told when I was about to leave for Spain that if I bought round trip tickets I didn’t need to worry about visa papers. I had said that I would serve the Malaga Media Center for a year but the longest time I could get with round trip tickets was 10 months. My intentions have always been to stay the full year and I had thought that I could just change the dates for the flight, but after some investigating this week I have realized that I just have to cancel these tickets and buy some new ones.
So later today I intend to call the Air Line to see what they can do for me. Tentatively, I plan to fly from here May 8th, it’s the day with the best price and the best flight (Only one connection between here and Edmonton! Yay!).
