My web presence is getting a little stale, I hope you’ll forgive me, it’s just that my work and life have become pretty focused lately and that focus has not been on my writing for this site. Anyway if you’re still reading here’s the short, mundane report of what’s been going in my world.

The Lent Abstinence Update

Now that a week has gone by I have realized that old habits are hard to give up. The only part of my oath that I have kept is to not get the news through RSS. But it is worth noting that as a result of keeping these things in mind I have become a more learned and better person. A lot less time is being wasted in front of the television and I have become more productive at work.

Echar Polvo

Maybe this isn’t an appropriate comment for a missionary blog but I laughed when it happened. Echar Polvo is an expression that the spanish here use to refer to having sex, I think it’s funny because it really literally translates to something like throwing dust. It really doesn’t have any innuendo when you translate it to english, but as I was walking home for lunch today I saw a road construction worker Echando Polvo on the sidewalk. I thought the two images had a funny contrast. Anyway, throwing dust.
