July 28th Intermittent Status Update

July 28th, 2007 · 1 Comment

I am currently situated in front of an aging Alaska Systems computer in Cuauthemoc, Mexico. I have now been living out of a car for the last two weeks and some advice that once read in a comic strip some years back is starting to ring very true.

Remember, you can always sleep in your car but you can’t drive your house.

A lot has happened in these last two weeks but I really only have the energy to touch on a few of them, the first being that I am changing the category for these recaps to intermittent status updates. It’s just to hard for me with the amount of travel that I do to be on schedule with something that’s not vital.

So in the last two and a half weeks since the last update of any sorts, I finished the Nor-Alta Aviation project, went to my friend Andy’s lake side birthday party at Lac Cardinal, saw Spain lose to Czech. Drove some 4500 kilometers from La Crete, Alberta Canada to Santo Tomas, Chihuahua, Mexico and taught a four day work shop on photography in Spanish.

Next week I will be traveling via train through Copper Canyon to Los Mochis and back I have heard that it’s an exceptionally cool journey, you will eventually see photos.

That pretty much sums things up.  More news will follow in the days and weeks to come.

    Jamie:
Good to hear you have arrived in Mexico. Thats awesome that you were able to teach. Trevor is back in Edmonton. It has been +30 here since you have left. I have 5 more sleeps before I am on my journey home. Hope to see you back soon.
