- Deputation noun
-
- the act of appointing a person or persons to represent or act for another or others.
- the person or body of persons so appointed or authorized.
In missions circles this word is also used to define the period of time after your appointment to service by a sending organization in which the necessary funds are raised for one to begin their objective and while this is the stage in which I find myself, this defintion really makes no sense to me and for that reason I prefer to use the term support raising, or the more vague term development.
I have been re-appointed by Avant Ministries to the Malaga Media Center and while I cannot say exactly when I will be back working in Europe, I am going to do everything in my power to make it happen in January. That said, I’ve only been at it for a week and I already have over half the support that I will be needing. With patience and perservervance the depuation process will go quite quickly.

You’re awesome, Jamie. I wish I had your support raising skills! I’m finally at 70% but I’ve been at it almost 2 years…that’s okay though, I’m happy for you and I’m happy for me. After all, I’ll be in Paris 3 weeks from TODAY!!!!!! Take care!
