I just wanted to say that my home town, La Crete, just got it’s very first set of traffic lights this week. I anticipate that there are a lot of people who won’t know what to do and that they may cause more accidents than they’ll prevent.

I remember watching the matrix and thinking, WOW, what IF you could just download kung-fu fighting or piloting into your brain? Well you can.
With the ubiquitous availability of a google search and the wealth of knowledge found therein it’s possible to learn whatever suits your fancy in a heart beat. I find that many times [...]

The Police

I am not shy about the fact that I have been pulled over by the boys in blue countless times and I won’t deny that I have received more than my fair share of written and verbal warnings. I usually toss out the number 14 when I talk about it and I want you to [...]

Reflections?
October 29th, 2007 · 2 Comments
Sometimes, usually at night, I catch myself pondering how I’ve traversed the great physical, emotional and spiritual distance between now and the last time I was awestruck by the beauty and uniqueness, or the incredible absurdness of the last situation that brought me to reflect on life.

Car Woes, Part 2
August 6th, 2007 · 2 Comments
Car woes, the first part, covers what happened on Saturday. Less fortunately for myself, that first episode was just to be the birthing pains with much more struggle on the horizon. You know what they say, when it rains it pours.
Originally, the plan was that I would be taking my grandma’s Chrysler Pacifica back to [...]

Car Woes

Last Saturday I was making my way back from Cuauhtemoc, Mexico to Ciudad Juarez with my Grandma in her 2001 PT Cruiser. The skies were clear and the highway was relatively empty as we pulled into Villa Ahumada, a small town just an hour south of Ciudad Juarez.
I was hungry but as we were [...]

Acampamento de Jovenes 2007

Near a little town called Santo Tomás in Chihuahua, Mexico every July there is a week long retreat for the jovenes (youth) of the region. I only found out about it this last spring and can now say I have had the privilege to be a part of the ministry there.
The first thing that [...]
