Prayer Requests for July 10th, 2006

Monday, July 10th, 2006

This Monday morning has been a stressfull and eventful, here is what is going on:

  • I need to rebuild and reconfigure our server. It died last Friday and it’s repair and recovery has been delegated to me. Pray for wisdom as I try to recover all the old data, re-install windows and configure network access, printers, etc.
  • The new mmcmedia.org is up and running, and by up I mean the software that powers it, is now working. The site still needs a lot of work, and I don’t know where I will find it with all the things that are happening right now. Pray that I could find time to make the site more interactive and up-to-date.
  • The new promotional video preproduction absolutely needs finnishing this week. Pray that the Scripts and storyboards would be good and ready by Friday.

Thanks. Your prayers are appreciated.

Prayer Requests for June 23rd, 2006

Friday, June 23rd, 2006

The center is in constant need of prayer and I know a lot of you who will read this are just wondering what specifically can be prayed for. So here is the list.

  • One gentleman in our radio/correspondence programs either is undergoing heart surgery very soon, or has already undergone heart surgery. I am not sure of the exact day this is happening. But pray for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

  • a young in our Radio Department has very recently found out that his brother is terminally ill with a brain tumor. Pray for him and the family as this turn of events has been hard on everyone involved

  • Pray for our correspondence program, as we are drastically understaffed. And the requirements for a person to be of help include: someone who understands Arabic and French, Someone with a theological background, and someone who cares about missions. These type of people are not a dime a dozen, and we are in desperate need of one.

  • Pray for our projects to be completed on time. Everyone here has a lot of projects to finnish and not a whole lot of time to do it. Also the hot weather has made everyone uncomfortable.

A big thank you for the positive response I got when I sent the last round prayer requests. Many people have had their health improve. And no new ear infections, mono cases, or cold’s have shown up since.

Feliz Cumpleaños/Prayer Requests

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

Happy Birthday.

“Feliz Cumpleaños” is spanish for “happy birthday.” May 15th was my birthday. And the short of what happened is: There was cake, a prank on my office, Estafado for lunch and Pizza for supper and an episode of Alias to finnish it off.

My birthday was noticed by friends and relatives alike, and that made it special. So if you didn’t know or didn’t care my feelings aren’t hurt.

Prayer Requests

At the Malaga Media Center we have a prayer time every morning for the various things that are happening. And right now every facet of our ministry is being interrupted by illness. I am still ok, but here is a breakdown what’s happening:

  • One lady in the correspondence department with mono.
  • One Man from the Radio department with heart problems and surgery coming up this summer.
  • Our Accountant and his wife are battling an infection.
  • Our secretary is getting over a nasty cold.
  • One of our video guys is battling panic attacks and bronchitis.

Names have been withheld because I didn’t get anyone’s permission to put there names on the internet (some people still need to travel into Morocco where Christianity is illegal and association with the Malaga Media Center is frowned upon.)

And every time someone is better another becomes ill. It feels like an attack when every morning there is new case of something travelling around, and it’s scary just waiting in line for your turn to get an ear infection or a nasty cold.
